  1. Unofficial Record By A SyberJet SJ30-2
It has been a long time since anything relating to the SyberJet SJ30 has been in the new cycle. On 18 August 2026 a SyberJet SJ30-2 registered (N378PG) flew nonstop from Jacksonville, Florida (KJAX) to San Diego, California (KSDM). A distance of approximately 1,831 nautical miles of track in 4:06:45. Measured over the FAI recognized course it averaged 505.3 mph (439.1-knotst) — an unofficial East-to-West world speed record for jets in the 6,000–9,000 kg class (FAI class C1.f), pending ratification.
  2. Onboard were Gordon “Gordy” Bryan at the controls and company CEO Trevor Milton aboard. Milton said the flight reinforces the SJ30-2’s performance credentials. “The results are fantastic,” he said. “This is exactly the kind of moment that can’t be disputed and cements the legacy of SyberJet as the fastest and farthest flying light jet in the world.” The SyberJet is not the only aircraft in the Light Jet category that has that kind of endurance. The standard Embraer Phenom 300 has a range of up to 1,971 nautical miles. The upgraded Phenom 300EV will have a range of 2,055 nautical miles.
  3. However, the latest effort by the SyberJet has best the previous C-1.f class record of 339.4 mph, set by an Embraer Phenom 300 back in 2013, an increase of about 48%, SyberJet said. The SyberJet SJ30-2 is not currently in production but the company has been quietly working on a design that is set to replace the SJ30 called the SJ36. This will eventually be faster and have greater range than the SJ30. As for the unofficial record, the relevant bodies such as the National Aeronautic Association and Fédération Aéronautique Internationale are expected to certify the record within 90 days making it official.
