Swiss startup that was previously known as Sirius has now been rebranded. The same company is now known as Stellar Aviation and the aircraft they are working on is more of a hydrogen VTOL now called the Stellar Jet. They are still very early in their operations and developing the new craft. They have also registered and now have its headquarters located in Delaware in the United States. Although they are expected to still keep the Swiss location as a hub for global operations.
  2. Manufacturing is said to have started earlier this month on the 7th of January. and it is the intention to have a flying technology demonstrator by June, 2025. Additionally, performance validation tests are slated to be revealed next month for the hydrogen fuel tank that will be used for the Stellar Jet.
  3. The move to change the company’s name from Sirius to Stellar was to be symbolic and be more in line with its commitment to innovation and goal of achieving carbon-free flight. There are going to be at least 2 variations of the Stellar Jet which one will be Stellar CEO Jet and the other the Stellar Adventure Jet. The first will have a cruise speed of 280-knots with a range of 1,000 nautical miles with up to 3 passengers onboard and payload of 1,350 lbs. The Adventure Jet will take up to 5 passengers 570 nautical miles with a payload of 3,050 lbs. Already they have purchase pricing too with the CEO Jet having a base price of $5.900.000 while the adventure is more expensive at $8.900.000.
