BOOM Supersonic Looses Rolls Royce As Partner Stunning news breaking, UK propulsion powerhouse Rolls Royce has pulled-out of its collaboration with upcoming commercial/business-jet supersonic contender BOOM Supersonic. It was only a few years ago that the two entities decided to get into business together. Rolls Royce suggested that they have kept their end of the initial contract by providing BOOM with engineering work studies and resulting data for the Overture project and now this is finished they are not further interested in the project. The Overture project is not a priority for Rolls Royce at this stage and won't continue any further. Here is what Rolls Royce said specifically. "After careful consideration, Rolls-Royce has determined that the commercial aviation supersonic market is not currently a priority for us and, therefore, will not pursue further work on the program at this time. It has been a pleasure to work with the Boom team and we wish them every success in the future."
