  1. Delay Hits Lilium Jet eVTOL
The Lilium Jet which is an eVTOL currently being developed by Lilium has now seen its certification timeline pushed back into 2025. Originally scheduled to be certified in 2023 with commercial service starting in 2024 it has now seen the timeline slip by 12 or more months months taking it into 2025. The company blames some of the delay on supply-chain issues. "The current status of design activities to develop the safest possible aircraft, our discussions with regulators, and…the continued supply chain disruption", said CEO Daniel Wiegand.
  2. The first production-conforming aircraft to be certified under EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) is expected to start build soon. EASA type certification process is expected to commence in 2023. "We will then spend the following 15 to 18 months running our final test campaign with the aim of receiving our initial type certification in 2025, with scale production of our aircraft set to begin immediately upon type certification," Wiegand said.
