  1. Eviation First Flight For The Alice All-Electric Plane Is Near
Eviation is a company that is developing a 9-seat all-electric commuter style aircraft called the Alice (prototype name). The aircraft is due to fly this Summer for the first time and a Twitter Tweet made by the company on August 12th points to this timeframe becoming more of a reality very soon. The Tweet did not say much except "Charged Up For The Weekend" but Eviation maintains the first flight will happen this Summer which gives up until mid September for this to occur.
  2. The recently held Farnborough Air Show cemented key relationships for the Alice which included Parker Aerospace who is expected to develop at least 6 technologies for the Alice aircraft. These include the Flight control system, consisting of sidestick, throttle, rudder control, and various switches. Electromechanical flap system. Thermal management. Hydraulic powerpacks. Vibration and noise mitigation and sealing solutions. The Eviation Alice has garnered significant interest since its official introduction to the world at the 2019 edition of the Paris Air Show. Originally the company was looking at having the first flight happen last year but with Covid pandemic-related issues this helped push the timeline deep into 2022. The timeframe for entry into service is 2025 with the aircraft being certificated under Part 23.
