  1. Hot-Humid Testing For ALIA CX300 In Florida
Beta Technologies with their ALIA CX300 has concluded several days of hot and humid testing in Florida in partnership with Signature Aviation. The company previously conducted cold-weather testing in Burlington, Vermont, and Plattsburgh, New York earlier this year. It is certainly very important to understand how the CX300 aircraft performs across a wide spectra of temperatures. Not just the aircraft but also the supporting charging infrastructure.
  2. For the hot and humid testing in Florida, this was done at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport (KISM) in partnership with Signature Aviation. The BETA Charging Cube is Beta's charging infrastructure and it was recently installed at this particular airport along with the requisite thermal management system. It was important to note how it performed in the hotter and humid conditions of the area.
  3. Other airports in Florida also received Beta's charging infrastructure. Those remaining airports are inclusive of Duke Field (Eglin Air Force Base Auxiliary KEGI), Bob Sikes Airport (KCEW), Gainesville Regional Airport (KGNV), Tallahassee International Airport (KTLH) and Jacksonville Executive (KCRG). There are plans to expand the network even further which is basically prepping for the future of electric and EVTOL operations in the state.
  4. “Bringing electric aviation into everyday operations will require a connected infrastructure of operational support and exceptional guest experiences,” said Signature chief commercial officer Derek DeCross. “Through our collaboration with Beta and Republic Airways, we’re helping build the foundation for advanced air mobility by integrating charging capabilities and operational support into the environments where aviation already connects people and communities every day.”
