Aerwins Xturismo Hybrid Flying 'Bike' With eVTOLs taking centerstage in the news other spin-offs from this burgeoning industry is also emerging. At the recently held Detroit Auto Show, there was a working prototype of a 'flying bike' manufactured by a Japanese start-up called Aerwins Technologies. Xturismo is the name of the flying bike, which is essentially an eVTOL without the cabin. The craft made its debut in the United States at the show. While it can be compared to an eVTOL, in its operation it isn't but rather closer to hybrid. The propellers in the hoverbike are powered by an internal combustion engine aided by a battery.
