Bombardier yesterday announced the sale of its industry-leading Challenger 3500 business jet to Italian-based operator, Air Corporate SRL. This will be the first company to offer the aircraft for charter in Europe. Interior refit of this Bombardier Global 5000 showcases a Winch Design. Jim Dixon, Managing Partner and Creative Director, Yachts & Aviation commented: “The Winch Design team thoroughly enjoyed the fast turnaround of this bespoke interior refit. “The art installation on the aft bulkhead presented several technical challenges, but the finished result creates a great impression!”. In-terms of who carried out the interior refit...the aircraft was completed with the interior installation and maintenance carried out by Bombardier UK, and all interior cabin refurbishment by the AeroVisto team in Switzerland.
Bombardier has broken ground on a new service center in Abu Dhabi. It is going to be located at the Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is all part of Bombardier's bid to reap some of the potential aftermarket business from this lucrative and growing region. Éric Martel, president and CEO, Bombardier said the Middle East is an important market for the manufacturer, with more than 150 aircraft. "Abu Dhabi is a dynamic financial hub for business and commerce in the UAE, and this service facility will provide significant benefits, quick aircraft turnarounds, and OEM peace of mind to our growing customer base," he said. The new service facility is expected to lead to 100 extra jobs. The new facility is expected to open in 2025.
Bombardier recently celebrated the delivery of the 150th Global 7500 flagship aircraft. It was delivered to an undisclosed customer in September.
