  1. Progress Updates With Overture Program
With a myriad of ground-related testing completed for the XB-1 demonstrator aircraft that BOOM Supersonic is using to push forward into the flight-testing realm, the first actual flight of the XB-1 is around the corner. BOOM Supersonic said that ground testing included ground taxi testing up to 90-knots. High-speed taxi tests are next and then first flight will take place after at the Mojave Air & Space Port.
  2. BOOM Supersonic also took the time to update on other aspects to the program. Vitally important is funding and financing and they announced that they recently concluded a funding round that extended their funding to above 700 million dollars. Neom Investment Fund is also onboard with the project. If you have heard of Neom before it is because it is a vast project Saudi Arabia is currently building in the North West of the country. Neom Investment Fund is the investment arm of Neom.
  3. Of course BOOM Supersonic has received an airworthiness certificate from the FAA for the XB-1 Demonstrator to have its first flight. Strides have also been made on the powerplant side of the project where the Symphony engine conceptual design review has been completed and that opens the door for the powerplant's first hardware rig tests aimed for 2024. The factory is also coming along with BOOM Supersonic suggesting that it will finish in the second quarter of 2024.
