  1. First WiJet HondaJet Delivered
The first HondaJet for French air taxi operator WiJet has been delivered and already pressed into service from the company's Le Bourget base. The first jet was delivered only on March 20th and the company is expecting the delivery of the second unit this coming week. WiJet has on order 16 of the type (HA-420 HondaJet). The registration of the first is LX-WJA and the second is expected to be LX-WJB.
  2. You may wonder why a French based company is using LX-based registration on their planes. WiJet's AOC (Aircraft Operator Certificate) for the HondaJet is listed as Flying Group Lux, which is a Luxembourg based operation. WiJet has now diversified its fleet with the addition of the HondaJet as the fleet previously was operated with Citation Mustang models. The HondaJet also gives WiJet a bit more flexibility. "Customers will be able to charter the Wijet HondaJets for flights within Europe, a spokesperson explained, "excluding a few [airports] in which we are not able to operate due to operational reasons—for example, Innsbruck".
