  1. New Updates On Full-Scale Cavorite X7
Horizon Aircraft has been working on sub-scale demonstrators of what they eventually would field to the public as the Cavorite X7. They have stepped-up to large scale demonstrator in which they have already demonstrated transitionary flight in early 2025. With all that testing in the recent past it has informed the design even further. The Cavorite X7’s refined design has been a collaboration with Horizon Aircraft’s engineering team and mobility designer Andrea Mocellin.
  2. Some of the updates and refinements made so far include in-relation to the vertical lifting technology. Remember this is a hybrid-electric VTOL. Onboard the aircraft it has 12 vertical lift fans that do the heavy-lifting of the VTOL. There are five vertical lift fans in each wing and one in each canard. Changes have been made to the canard wings at the front that add one fan in each canard. This arrangement simplifies and standardizes the same size fans across the airframe. Two wing-sized fans replaces the four smaller canard fans that existed prior.
  3. It is not just on the exterior of the aircraft where improvements have been realized. The interior cabin as been refined too with a physically larger cabin for the passenger experience. The cabin is slightly extended and the windows redesigned in an effort to achieve more legroom and improved sightlines. This naturally will translate to a more comfortable-feeling cabin.
  4. Horizon Aircraft Co-Founder and CEO Brandon Robinson commented: “These technical updates are a result of our world-class engineering team’s ability to effectively enhance the performance of our aircraft. We remain committed to building one of the safest, toughest, and most performant modern VTOL aircraft, and these updates further advance that mission.” The company has also made improvements to the exterior aerodynamics. The canard appendage and tails have been reprofiled to lower drag, improve cruise efficiency and enhance stability.
