Textron News From 2025 LABACE The Latin America Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition is currently underway in São Paulo, Brazil running from the 5th of August to the 7th. Textron Aviation is one of the many manufacturers and OEMs that are attending the show this year and here are some of the news coming out of the show from Textron. The Cessna SkyCourier has made its show debut at the Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE) in São Paulo. Cessna announced the first order from Brazil for the Citation Longitude. Customers can now upgrade their Cessna Citation CJ1 with the all-Garmin retrofit solution following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supplemental type certification (STC).
Textron Aviation and its channel partner, TAM Aviação Executiva, are displaying a number of of aircraft from their industry-leading lineup of Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft at Campo de Marte airport. “The outstanding lineup Textron Aviation and TAM AE are featuring at LABACE, including the new Cessna SkyCourier, highlights our commitment to customers in the region," said Marcelo Moreira, vice president, Sales, Latin America. "Latin America continues to be very important to Textron Aviation, with our aircraft accounting for more than half of the turbine fleet in region."
The first order of a Cessna Citation Longitude in Brazil was announced today during Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE). The flagship of the Citation line of business jets, which are designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., was ordered by a longtime Citation customer that currently operates several aircraft from across the Textron Aviation product portfolio, including a Cessna Citation business jet and a Cessna and Beechcraft turboprop. Expected to deliver in 2026, the Longitude will be used for business and personal travel. Textron announced that the Citation Jet 1 (CJ1) now has the option to have the cockpit upgraded thanks to a new STC. The cockpit can now have the all-Garmin retrofit solution following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supplemental type certification (STC). Customers can have the upgrade installed at any of the company’s global service network locations to add significant technological advances and new capabilities to their aircraft. The Garmin avionics upgrade — including the new, larger 12-inch G600 TXi flight display, TXi EIS, GTN™ 750Xi GPS/NAV/COMM and GFC™ 600 digital autopilot — is a cutting-edge solution for the CJ1 cockpit. The system offers situational awareness features such as Stabilized Approach monitoring and aural V-speed alerting during takeoff. Optionally, the upgrade can also include Garmin’s GWX™ 8000 StormOptix™ weather radar, GDL® 60 datalink for the PlaneSync™ connected aircraft management system and more. ***
