Piaggio Gets Surprise Avanti EVO Order From The United States Although Piaggio Aerospace is actively trying to find a new owner the company is still in operation and new orders will do the company good. A long unit order recently came in from the United States for one brand new Piaggio Avanti EVO. The aircraft will head to Clearwater, Florida where Mid-South Service Inc., is located when the aircraft is delivered in the first half of 2021. With the ongoing circumstances at Piaggio Aero it is a bit of a surprise to see an order signed.
"The unbeatable speed, cabin comfort and eco-friendly fuel efficiency of the aircraft, make the Avanti EVO my preferred choice over all other products of this category, while the supplemental fuel tank allows us to complete our longer trips without a stop", said Dean Fuller, President of Mid-South Services and buyer of several Piaggio Avanti aircraft in previous years. This lone order isn't the only work that Piaggio will be executing. In fact, the company has 11 new Avanti's in production at present as well as Defense work for the Italian Armed Forces Avanti aircraft. The company says they have order work worth around 750 million US dollars with 300 million worth of negotiations at present.
