  1. Piaggio Aerospace Awarded Maintenance Contracts For Avantis
Maintenance work is keeping Piaggio Aerospace alive for now. The company recently was awarded a maintenance contract for four Piaggio Avanti II P180 aircraft. The contract is worth 12.6 million Euros and involves providing maintenance services for ENAV's Avanti II fleet. ENAV is responsible for calibrating of airport navaids (Radar, VOR, DME, VDF, ILS etc) in Italy.
  2. "The agreement signed represents a further step forward in the turn-around process of Piaggio Aerospace", commented Vincenzo Nicastro, Extraordinary Commissioner of Piaggio Aerospace. "While strengthening the backlog of the Genoa factory-owned service center, it also confirms the unique expertise of the company in the airframe MRO domain, consolidated throughout decades of activities". The ENAV planes fly extensively in a given year, up to 1,800 hours.
