  1. Y6SPlus eVTOL By Autonomous Flight
Something new again in the eVTOL space is coming to the market. It is called the Y6SPlus aptly named for its ability to carry six persons and its Y-shaped design from above. To be fair the Autonomous Flight eVTOL existed before in design but only as a two-seat initial variant. The Y6SPlus is the new current design evolution of it from the UK based startup . If and when the eVTOL becomes certificated and available they are suggesting that a commute from Lower Manhattan to JFK would take just eight (8) minutes. London Heathrow to Battersea Heliport is just twelve (12) minutes. To make this possible Autonomous Flight is pegging the Y6SPlus to fly at 125 mph with a range of approximately 80 miles.
  2. The builder hails the amount of redundancy built-into the aircraft. There are two sets of twin rotors on the canard on the front and also a third on the tail. In total six motors drive the rotors. For added safety, the fuselage is being made of composites also with a crash cell incorporated to further isolate and protect the cabin in case of a crash under reasonable circumstances. The primary use in the initial phases will be as an air taxi but as it develops, Autonomous Flight as the name of the company suggests, autonomous flight is the goal. The company has ambitious plans of flying this aircraft by next year.
