  1. NetJets Sign MoU For Lilium eVTOLs
Large and successful fractional ownership company NetJets has agreed to purchase a large number of eVTOL aircraft from Lilium. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would involve the purchase of 150 of the Lilium eVTOLs for NetJets U.S and European operations. Of course the agreement is not a firm order just an MoU with the potential of being converted.
  2. Lilium's eVTOL work is at an advanced stage and the company is working towards having the aircraft model certified and having market entry by 2024. At this stage a demonstrator has been thoroughly tested. In January, the company announced that one of its 5th generation technology demonstrators (“PHX2”) has arrived at the ATLAS Flight Test Center in Villacarrillo (Jaen), Spain where Lilium plans to continue its flight test campaign at higher speeds and over longer distances, thereby expanding the testing capabilities beyond Germany. Towards the end of 2020, Lilium announced its intent to eVTOL connections and services between larger cities in central and south Florida. This will be done through a network of vertiports at locations such as the Lake Nona community near Orlando. To this end, these plans appeal to NetJets as they could operate these aircraft in Florida under its existing Part 135 air operator certificate.
