  1. USAF Testing LIFT's Hexa eVTOL
There is another sub-category with eVTOLs and these are ultralight more personal craft. You might have seen the Jetson One in previous articles but another prototype is currently being tested and interestingly being tested by the United States Air Force (USAF). It is called the LIFT Hexa eVTOL and it a single-person craft powered by 18 motors and props. The craft weighs just 432 lbs and during the most recent test flight -which was done remotely - the Hexa flew for 10 minutes at a height reaching 50-feet.
  2. The flight was conducted at Duke Field (KEGI) which is an auxiliary field for Eglin Air Force Base. The flight of this aircraft called 'Hexa 09', is one of two LIFT eVTOLs stationed at the military installation. This test was carried out by the 413th Flight Test Squadron with the support of Air Force eVTOL initiative, Agility Prime. "This is an opportunity to leverage some of the unit’s expertise with rotary aircraft and apply it to this new field of electric propulsion aircraft," Maj. Riley Livermore, 413th FLTS Futures Flight commander, said in a statement Thursday. "This flight was an important step in advancing the testing forward."
