eVTOL Aircraft From Honda Honda is the latest to jump into the ring of the eVTOL for urban mobility/air taxi market. They did not say much about the craft actually but it will be an electric vertical take off and landing type. Based on the renderings we can see an eight-prop setup distributed across two booms and two ducted fans/props at the rear of the fuselage. It appears that the aircraft may well be a hybrid with the ability to run on hybrid electric as well as purely electric.
Early calculations suggest a 249 mile range on hybrid power while the range drops to around 62 miles reliant on all-electric power. Honda R&D Co will be running the project and it is part of Honda's 2030 vision. There is no timeline for this concept eVTOL as to when it perhaps will begin tangible development and move on through certification and entry into service.
