Comlux Takes Delivery Of First Sukhoi SuperJet 100 VIP The Swiss completions center Comlux has taken delivery of the very first Sukhoi Superjet 100 VIP business jet. Now the aircraft isn't completed in terms of having its luxury VIP custom interior. That's why it is at Comlux! The aircraft was flown to the company's United States completions facility in Indianapolis to have the interior converted to the bespoke outfitting required by Comlux themselves. In fact, it is Comlux's Asian arm in Kazakhstan that will be utilizing the aircraft for VIP charter services when the custom interior is completed.
The particular aircraft MSN 95060, was one of half-a-dozen SuperJet 100s that were originally destined for Russia's UTAir. However, the company cancelled on that order. A couple years ago, Comlux signed an agreement for as much as 200 million dollars to cover a couple conversions and thus we have the first one in the works. “We're confident that our experience in customizing business jets and Sukhoi's desire to become a player in the business aviation market bodes well for the success of our joint project,” said Richard Gaona, Comlux Group President. Gaona went on to say that he expects the conversion of the interior and associated works to take about seven or eight months. That would put the aircraft into a mid 2016 re-delivery perhaps and of course represent the first SuperJet 100 VIP to be fully completed and operational for a client and Comlux will have that luxury as the operator.
