Dassault Aviation Rolls Out First Falcon 6X The latest Dassault Falcon business jet has been officially rolled out during a virtual session on December 8th. "Today’s rollout is a significant achievement. I am very pleased to present the addition of an all-new aircraft design within the Falcon family, the ultra widebody Falcon 6X," said Dassault Aviation Chairman Eric Trappier. "The challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic required exceptional perseverance and cooperation on the part of Dassault and its partner companies."
Early next year the first flight of the Falcon 6X is earmarked to take place. The rollout paves the way for completion of the ground test program and the extensive systems checks that must be performed before the first flight. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D powerplants that are powering the 6X have successfully completed ground and engine flight tests. The first flight is now the next big milestone that will be coming up. As a reminder the Falcon 6X is a 5,500 nautical mile aircraft that can carry its passengers in utmost comfort and luxury at a maximum speed of Mach 0.90. City pairs like London to Hong Kong or Los Angeles to Moscow are within the grasp of the new Falcon 6X.
