  1. Epic Aircraft Flies Second Conforming Test E1000
The latest conforming test aircraft for the E1000 turboprop has taken to the skies. The aircraft is registered N332FT which is one number different from the first test aircraft -N331FT-. This one also looks a bit different with the grey belly paint. The all-composite made aircraft is expected to gain certification this Summer if everything goes well.
  2. This second aircraft is going to be utilized to test the interior as well as environmental systems. Fuel, hydraulics and flightdeck avionics will also come under heavy testing. So far, the first conforming aircraft, N331FT or FT1 logged 500 test hours. That aircraft took to the skies toward the end of 2015 and now Epic Aircraft has the second example in the air to continue testing two years later. FT2 has Garmin G1000 NXi avionics fitted in the cockpit and a production interior. If you want one, they are on sale for 3.25 million dollars and Epic amassed 80 orders to date. Below is a photo of the first conforming test aircraft.
