  1. Wonderful Q2 Performance For Embraer
Embraer has posted admirable results for the second quarter of 2021. The good performance has actually be bolstered by strong bizjet sales. Overall the airframer expects to deliver 90 to 95 executive jets for 2021 which is just a bit below 2020's figure of 109. Embraer shipped 12 light jets and eight larger cabin bizjets in the second quarter which represented a 54 percent increase from a year ago. For the first half of this year, Embraer has racked up 33 deliveries so far which also represents a 50 percent uptick for the same period last year.
  2. The company describes 30 percent of the customers in its business jet backlog as first-time buyers. These first-time clients are leading the way and boosting the company's light jet segment (Phenom line), according to president and CEO Francisco Neto. Overall, the manufacturer recorded year-to-date revenues of just under $2 billion dollars. This is a 65 percent increase over the 2020 year. Of this, its executive jets division has accounted for an approximate 22 percent of that total.
