Embraer Ships First Florida-Built Legacy 500 Embraer is proud to announce that they have shipped the first Florida-assembled Legacy 500 business jet. The aircraft was delivered to an undisclosed United States customer. The Melbourne, Florida plant has expanded to build Phenom 100, 300, Legacy 450 and now Legacy 500 midsize executive jets. This assembly plant is becoming a large part of Embraer's overall manufacturing strategy but they still do a large section of their work in Brazil.
"We are pleased to deliver the first Legacy 500 made in Melbourne, fulfilling our vision of expanding production to assemble four world-class business jets on Florida’s Space Coast," said Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Michael Amalfitano. "I want to congratulate our teams on their passion for excellence and their commitment to deliver true value to customers. The Legacy 500 is attracting a strong interest with corporate flight departments and fleet operators, in addition to individual owners." For more information: Embraer Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A.
