Deliveries Surpass Forecast In 2017 For Dassault Falcon French airframer Dassault Falcon had a little to cheer about last year when they delivered more planes than they forecasted for the year. The company has been going through a tough time with business jet demand and supplier issues which led them to cancel the Falcon 5X program. Four more executive jets were delivered to customers around the world than expected.
Who is complaining? Certainly not Dassault Falcon. They shipped 49 Falcon executive jets in 2017 which accounted for four more units than was forecasted by the company for the year. It also brought them more-or-less back into line with their performance in 2016. The NET orders were also up a bit too, rising to 38 over the 21 in 2016. At the end of last year (Dec 31), Dassault Falcon had a backlog of 52 Falcons which is down on then 63 units from 2016. Cancellations also happened in 2017 for the Falcon 5X jet as a result of issues with the Safran Silvercrest powerplant. The 5X was canceled late last year by Dassault Falcon For more information: Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation Teterboro Airport 200 Riser Road Little Ferry, NJ 07643 www.dassaultfalcon.com ***
