  1. Dassault Falcon Deliveries Slide; Orders Jump In First Half
Dassault Falcon has been in a slump when it pertains to deliveries this year so far. Between January and June they managed to only ship six business jets. For the same period in 2020, the company delivered 16 jets to customers. While this performance for the year so far may seem alarming, the order intake has been much better. 25 new aircraft were booked during the first half of 2021 worth an estimated 1.66 billion dollars (1.413 billion Euros). For the same period last year, the order in take was only worth 787 million dollars (669 million Euros).
  2. As a consequence of the increased new orders this year, the backlog has grown too, worth 2.86 billion Euros which is up from 2.15 billion Euros towards the end of 2020. In those new orders, the recently announced Falcon 10X has been purchased. The backlog for the first half of the year now encompasses 53 Falcons which includes nine special-mission aircraft. Towards the end of 2020 the backlog was 34 Falcons. "The business aviation market showed encouraging signs of improvement during the first half of 2021, particularly with the recovery of air travel in the U.S.," the company said, calling the preowned end of the market buoyant. However, Dassault added that "price pressures remain."
