Launch Customer For Electra EL9 Will Be Bristow The Electra EL9 program is moving apace and not only in the developmental stages but also looking towards entry-into-service. In fact, Electra and Bristow have signed on a launch agreement that will see Bristow as the launch customer for the aircraft. The company interactions with each other have gone back a few years with Bristow signing an LOI pre-order for initially 5 aircraft of the type in 2021.

Since the initial pre-order agreement back in 2021 that has been converted into a fixed agreement for five EL9 delivery slots, all to be delivered in the EL9's first year of production. By reserving these early slots from Electra, Bristow has made sure that it has secured unmatched early access to an aircraft that will surely diversify its capabilities and operations in the near future. The capabilities of the aircraft include the ability to carry up to nine passengers with baggage or 3,000 pounds of cargo for approximately 330 nautical miles. When empty of passenger the maximum ferry range is estimated to be around 1,100 nautical miles with IFR reserves.
