BACE aims to be carbon neutral this year. This is going to be possible through partnership with aviation sustainability specialist 4Air. Carbon credits purchased through 4Air are verified through international standards, including the American Carbon Registry, Climate Action Reserve, Verified Carbon Standard, and the Gold Standard. While NBAA and 4Air are funding carbon offset credits to mitigate travel to and from NBAA-BACE and greenhouse gas emissions of the event itself patrons will have the opportunity to vote on the CO2-reducing projects that will be supported through the purchased carbon credits, including wind energy produced in Oklahoma, a forest management project in Massachusetts, and greenhouse gas emissions reduced in Florida during the production of automotive and aircraft manufacturing materials.

National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen issued the following statement today on the passing of Randall (Randy) Greene, former chairman and chairman emeritus of the Corporate Angel Network (CAN).

"Randy loved aviation and life itself," Bolen said. “It is only fitting that a significant part of his legacy was the passion and dedication he brought to having business aviation transport cancer patients to treatment centers. For decades, Corporate Angel Network has provided help and hope to those in need. It represents the best of our community and our humanity. This pioneering organization is a direct reflection of the vision for caring that has been long held by Randy and his remarkable family. We salute his countless contributions to aviation and join his family in mourning his passing." Greene had a storied career as CEO of Safe Flight Instrument Corporation, founded by his father Leonard in 1946. Under Greene’s stewardship, the company has pioneered a host of safety technologies, including Stall Warning, Angle of Attack and Automatic Throttle systems. Safe Flight’s innovations are incorporated into more than two thirds of the world’s aircraft today.

Exhibiting both the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet and the advanced PC-12 NGX turboprop at the National Business Aviation Association’s annual Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Pilatus leaders confirm a strong backlog of orders. While global health concerns and their impact on travel and supply chains continue to impose recovery challenges for all businesses, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd Chief Executive Officer Markus Bucher was pleased to give an update on the state of business at this year’s conference. Bucher stated: "Two years ago, we were unveiling the newly certified PC-12 NGX to an enthusiastic audience at this same location". Who could have predicted the events of the past 24 months? We are happy to be back here in the largest market for Pilatus aircraft, and are very fortunate that in this challenging environment sales of the PC-12 NGX and the PC-24 continue to exceed our original projections."
