This is the next major airshow to be put together for this year, 18th-21 July. Boeing will be there and have the latest iterations of its commercial aircraft. Particularly the spotlight is on the Boeing 737-10 which is walking a tightrope in terms of its certification timeline vs facing a bad delay. Eitherway, it will be the first time for the 737-10 at an international airshow. The American airframer is also having 777-9.
The airframer will also have aviation sustainability as part of its ethos for the show. The aircraft in the flying displays will fly on a blend of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to help reduce the carbon footprint of their activities at the show. Another decarbonization strategy is electric propulsion and Boeing's joint venture Wisk Aero will make the European debut of its eVTOL air taxi. The "Cora" development vehicle is pilotless, helping to advance autonomous capabilities in aviation. Boeing will highlight other autonomous capabilities at the show, including its MQ-25 uncrewed aerial refueler and Airpower Teaming System.

Massive order came in on the first day for Boeing from American airline Delta which called for 100 Boeing 737 MAX jets...worth in the region of 13 billion dollars. The new order has given new life to the MAX 10 variant which is still yet to be given the green light by the FAA.

French medevac and cargo operator Oyonnair ordered a Piaggio P.180 Avanti Evo in medevac configuration at the Farnborough International Airshow. Naturally the airplane will be slightly different with a much larger 29-inch door for easier entrance and exit from the cabin. There will also be an extra fuel tank onboard for better range and flexibility. Oyonnair CEO Daniel Vovk called the new Avanti Evo "the perfect-fit aircraft for medevac operations. With this new configuration, we can offer our clients even better performance. For this reason, and according to our growth strategy, we are now aiming at ordering three more aircraft by the end of this year." Oyonnair is not new to P180 aircraft, their first was in 2015 and their fleet should be 8 of the type when they receive this new one. They expect to take delivery of the new aircraft by the second quarter of 2023.

Embraer also received some orders at this year's show. Porter Airlines has ordered 20 E195 E2's from Embraer which brings their E2 orders to 50 with options for 50 more should they exercise them. The E175 got a 21 unit order from Alaska Air Group which will be destined for its Group member Horizon Air. The order is made up of 8 firm orders and 13 options worth 1.12 billion USD. Alaska Air Group should start receiving the aircraft by second quarter of 2023.

Boeing got another significant boost at the FIA 2022 with a major order for the Boeing 737 MAX coming in from VietJet. It calls for 200 jets. The first 50 are to be delivered to an affiliate airline in Thailand. The whole order is expected to be worth in the region of 35 billion. To be clear part of this order started in 2018 and then it got derailed by the MAX crashes and recertification issues. 2022 is a sort of recommitment of VietJet.
