News: New 7-bladed Prop Certified For Piper M700 Fury

M700 Fury 7-bladed Prop Option Available

The Piper M700 Fury was already an efficient and quick single engine turboprop but stemming from a recent EASA supplemental type certificate approval operators will have the opportunity to upgrade the Fury's propeller. This isn't just any propeller either, the option is for a 7-bladed MT prop for this aircraft. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approvals are expected soon regarding the aforementioned propeller. The announcement was made during 2026 Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo.

"Integrating the seven-blade MT-Propeller into the Fury platform underscores Piper’s commitment to continuous innovation and customer-driven enhancements," said Piper v-p of engineering and manufacturing Marc Ouellet. "This option provides operators with improved takeoff and climb performance while reducing noise levels for both passengers and communities."

There are already over 100 M700 Fury aircraft in service today since the type was certificated by the FAA in early 2024. These leave a decent pool for existing owners to take advantage of this upgrade. It is worth it for the extra comfort and performance up-tick and at the same time, it enhances the aircraft's ramp presence.

The Silent 7 - 7-blade MTV-37 propeller on the Piper PA46-600TP and Piper 46-701TP powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada propeller turbines PT6A-42A in PA-46-600TP and PT6A-52 in PA-46-701TP. In real numbers the improvements include a shorter take-off distance by approx. -10%, an enhanced climb performance by approx. 5% and an increased cruise performance by 2-3KTAS. It also complies with the strict German noise regulations 2010 - "Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung" for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries.
