  1. Daher Enhances The TBM Line With The TBM980
For the passenger in the cabin, the operator or owner can now install a Starlink Mini terminal for satellite-based internet connectivity ensuring constant connection to what matters most online. Additionally there is impressive 100-watt USB-C ports for charging mobile devices. This will ensure fast-charging experience for passengers. Also, the displays in the cabin have been upgraded to showcase enroute flight data better.
  2. Daher has once again refreshed its top-line turboprop single the TBM. For 2026, that latest iteration is the TBM 980. The TBM 980 mainly has these updates inside of the cockpit for more intuitive pilot operations and inside of the cabin for enhanced passenger experience. In the cockpit the main upgrade is via Garmin’s third-generation G3000 Prime avionics suite.
  3. The TBM 960 -which was the last iteration of the TBM- used the G3000 as well but that was the first generation of the avionics. The TBM 980 is using the G3000 Prime which is the latest iteration of the G3000 suite and compared to the TBM900 they are using the Garmin G1000. It is clear the TBM 980 is utilizing the latest offering from Garmin in this particular avionics bracket.
  4. From the standpoint of a cleaner look in the cockpit, the Garmin G3000 Prime offers 14-inch edge-to-edge glass displays so the effect of a large linear pane of glass is given. The TBM 960 had large displays too but the panels had these large bezels on the perimeter resulting in a less sleek look. The Garmin G3000 Prime also offers better display quality. In terms of pricing, the new TBM 980 is priced at $5.82 million. At $5.62 million, the TBM 960 will still be offered by Daher -for now-.
