Here is a look at the brand-newly renovated lounge at the Signature Aviation Huntsville, Alabama location. One of the key upgrades was in way of adding more space to the passenger terminal. It now features 6,000 sq ft since adding the extra 2,500 sq ft. Universal Aviation is expected to start a new hangar project later this year in Madrid at the Barajas International Airport. It will involve the construction of a 53,820 sq ft hangar for general business aviation and an apron measuring 107,640 sq ft. It is expected to complete in late 2026 to coincide with the Formula One Races. “We’re creating more than just a hangar; we’re establishing a premium facility that addresses the specific needs of discerning flight departments and aircraft owners who demand the highest standards of service and security,” said Gonzalo Barona Jr., general manager of Universal’s Spain operation. “This facility will offer unmatched benefits to based clients, including enhanced security against environmental activists and protestors, comprehensive weather protection, and congestion avoidance during major events.”

Naples Jet Center in Florida has now debuted a new terminal. The new terminal was part of a 15 million dollar redevelopment of the facilities there. It is one of two service providers at the airport.

Universal Aviation is set to renovate the FBO at the Samana Airport in Dominican Republic to the tune of 500,000 dollars. The work there is anticipated to take 4 months. “This new FBO at Samaná Airport responds to growing demand from high-profile travelers in the region’s ultra-luxury tourism sector,” said Danilo Rosario Jiménez, director of Universal’s Dominican Republic operations. “By strengthening our presence in the northeastern region with world-class, personalized service, we’re supporting the area’s economic development while ensuring private and executive aviation clients receive the premium experience they expect.”

A brand new FBO chain is making moves in the industry having only come on stream last year has already opened a few locations. Vantage Aviation has added three locations to its growing portfolio in just the last 2 weeks. The latest was a purchase of Monaco Air at Minnesota’s Duluth International Airport (KDLH). “Monaco Air Duluth is a great addition to the Vantage Aviation Network, and germane to our strategy,” said Vantage founder and CEO Ryan Maxfield, adding that the location offers a full slate of aviation services. In addition to providing fuel and ground handling to general aviation aircraft, Monaco Air is an “above- and below-wing” air carrier partner, maintenance shop, and Part 141 flight training school.

Here is another one that recently completed. Well this is a terminal in St. Thomas, USVI at the Cyril E. King Airport. The previous terminal was damaged in past hurricanes. This is a look at the Execujet terminal area following a multi-million dollar rebuild.

Flightpath Aviation, the recently-launched sister of Canadian aircraft operator Flightpath Charter Airways, will serve as the exclusive tenant of a hangar under construction at the Atlantic Aviation FBO complex at Florida’s Boca Raton Airport (KBCT). The 30,000-sq-ft structure—being built by Atlantic and expected to be completed in October. (AIN)

A look at the new hangar that was added at Chicago DuPage Airport (KDPA). The airport has expanded with the opening of another hangar at the DuPage Flight Center. This hangar was constructed in the last year to a cost of 15 million. and measures approximately 48,000 sq ft. It has nearly 30-foot high doors for its two bays allowing it to accommodate large cabin executive jets.

APP Jet Center inaugurated the newest hangar at its Stuart Jet Center FBO at Florida’s Witham Field Airport (KSUA) this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by employees, customers, airport officials, and local dignitaries. The 20,000-sq-ft hangar, which can accommodate ultra-long-range business jets, took a year to build and is fully leased. It includes 4,000 sq ft of executive office space on the second floor and brings the company to 140,000 sq ft of hangar and office space at KSUA. AIN

FBO News is that Jet Aviation has acquired ASTONSKY’s ground handling, hangarage and FBO operations at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, France. The FBO provides handling, fueling, hangarage, on-site carparking, and services for passengers and crew.

In more FBO news, it looks like Cunningham Aviation has consolidated at the Falcon Field Airport in Arizona. The acquisition of rival Avflight Mesa’s adds to the Cunningham Aviation assets in that area. Included in the purchase is Avflight’s former 7,000-sq-ft terminal on the north side of the field and a 10,000-sq-ft hangar capable of sheltering the latest ultra-long-range business jets.

Avflight has broken ground on a new facility in Detroit. It is at Coleman A. Young International Airport and they broke ground on the new FBO in June of this year. “With its proximity to the city’s business district and automotivation efforts. industry, this new general aviation terminal will serve as a gateway to commerce, tourism and opportunity,” said Avflight’s Joe Meszaros. “It will stand as a beacon of growth, job creation and educational opportunity for Detroit citizens.” Avflight, which has operated at Detroit since 2011.
