  1. Gulfstream's G800 About To Enter Into Service
With dual certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) a few months ago, Gulfstream has turned their attention to finishing and preparing the first set of customer-bound examples for delivery. The G800 is the latest stablemate aircraft in Gulfstream's lineup coming to market after the G700. Gulfstream only now has the new G400 in development.
  2. As for the G800, "the Gulfstream team never ceases to test the boundaries of what is possible while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer commitment we are known for," said Mark Burns, Gulfstream president. "We have been preparing for this accomplishment and are poised for a seamless G800 entry into service as U.S. and European customer deliveries begin."
  3. The G800 was earmarked for a much earlier service entry. For those following closely, Gulfstream initially was targeting around 2023 for Type Certification of the G800 after it was announced to the public back in October 2021. However, different reasons came to the fore to help delay the project a bit. Supply chain issues has been suggested to be part of the reason.
  4. The Maximum Operating Speed has been elevated to MACH 0.935 up from MACH 0.925. Customers won't have to settle for MACH 0.85 as the aircraft at MACH 0.90 high-speed cruise can still attain 7,000 nautical miles. At Mach 0.87, the range is 8,000 nautical miles and around 8,200 nautical miles at MACH 0.85. The G800 although having similar performance to the G700 still offers customers a bit more range overall while still giving everything else comfort and appointment wise to the customer in the cabin.
