Gulfstream G280 Sets City-Pair Record En Route To Dubai
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.’s super mid-sized G280 established a city-pair record en route to the 13th annual Dubai Airshow, bringing the aircraft’s records total to more than 30. The G280’s record run started at 5:23 p.m. local time Nov. 15 when the aircraft departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport with Gulfstream pilots Jason Willis and Marilyn Whicker at the controls. The aircraft flew 3,356 nautical miles/6,215 kilometers, landing at Dubai World Airport 7 hours and 34 minutes after takeoff. Its average speed was Mach 0.80.
