Hawker Beechcraft Services Announces Six Orders for G1000 Upgrades on King Air 300/350 Aircraft Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) today announced it has taken orders for six Garmin G1000® fully integrated flight deck installations for the Beechcraft King Air 300/350. Garmin recently received the supplemental type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration for this upgrade (SA01535WI-D), enabling operators of King Air 300/350 aircraft to enjoy the benefits of integrated flight information systems on large, high-definition displays. With this STC, the G1000 upgrade is now available at HBS facilities for a wide range of models in the world’s best-selling line of turboprops: King Air C90, 200, B200, 300 and 350 models. “The G1000 is a very popular upgrade for operators of our King Air aircraft,” said Christi Tannahill, senior vice president, Global Customer Support. “We have seen considerable interest from customers and we expect to see much more now that the STC for the King Air 300/350 is finalized. Our HBS facilities have completed numerous King Air 90 and 200 installations and we look forward to additional King Air 350 projects.” The G1000 retrofit suite integrates all primary flight, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic, radio frequency, engine and fuel data readouts on large-format, high-definition LCDs. The cockpit layout features a central 15″ multi-function display, flanked by 10.4″ primary flight displays at the pilot and copilot positions. Standard features include WAAS-certified GPS navigation, dual integrated solid-state Attitude and Heading Reference Systems and dual integrated RVSM-capable digital air data computers.
