A Soyuz lift vehicle has blasted off from Kazakhstan with three astronauts onboard. Destination was the International Space Station (ISS). It is said that the journey would have just taken 6 hours.

Seems like the monument commemorating the first flight of Gustave Whitehead might have been vandalized.

    Airport worker caught stealing

An airport worker has been caught on camera stealing an estimated $84,000 worth of possessions from passengers at Minneapolis Airport. The airport worker is supposedly a baggage handler. It is said that he allegedly stole the amount worth in possessions over an eight month period but the last time is when he was caught...red-handed. Watches, jewellery and even guns were among what prosecutors say David Vang crammed into his backpack. Vang will likely face felony theft charges for his deeds.

Blue Bird wins contract to provide these unmanned aerial systems...The deal is a U.S $3million contract. In a statement, BlueBird says its candidate was chosen after "surpassing competing systems in both performance and price levels".

This one definitely will file in under the wicked section of this thread...This WWII period bomber was scratched, persumably by a or vandals sometime during the Sun 'n Fun event 2013. The WWII B-25 bomber Panchito received potentially thousands of dollars of damage according to Lakeland police, who are currently seeking information about the incident. The cost to repair the damage is $30,000.

As if you haven't heard anything more weird for the day...this next story comes in from Spain.

Two teens have been arrested for damaging and vandalizing an aircraft at Madrid-Barajas Airport. Of course to get to the aircraft they had to some how break into the the airport and managed to get to the live-side (airside) of the airport. They then got to a Spanish airline Air Europa's aircraft. The pair, 16 and 19, damaged the undercarriage, they got inside the aircraft as well and smashed cockpit systems, inflating the aircraft's passenger life jackets and playing with the crew members' illumination equipment all to the tune of 30,000 Euros.

    More UFO stories for you...

Apparently on December 2nd 2012, the pilots of an Airbus A320 were flying in clear skies over the city of Glasgow, Scotland at around 13:00 on the day the incident occurred. They (pilots) said that the object was around 100-meters from them even though they couldn't fully make out what it was. They were at around 4,000 feet at the time of the incident. Glasgow radar saw nothing. As usual, another mystery goes unsolved and continue to probe questions.

Passenger Brawl at Beijing Airport Check-in Counter

A brawl at a check-in desk in China provoked a manager to attack passengers with a metal chair. The video below showcase the out-of-control situation when an airline's customer services manager went mad attempting to assault travelers with a metal chair, following their complaints about a mix-up with boarding gates.

So now there is going to be an animated movie coming out named 'Planes', pretty much from the same people behind 'CARS'. It is expected to open in the theatres on August 9, The plot of Planes follows on a... 'Dusty the crop duster as he tackles his fear of heights to achieve his dream of becoming an air racer.'
