US Production Certificate For Piper's M600 Piper has attained United States Production certification for the M600 which basically will allow them to manufacture and test the M600 from their Vero Beach facilities. The M600 is the newest aircraft in the Piper family and is a six-seat turboprop machine. It is a nice upgrade to the company's M500 aircraft and showcases a digital fuel management system, slightly redesigned wing and new restyled interior.
Since securing FAA certification in June 2016, deliveries have started with at least three M600s going to US-based customers. Things are looking good for this model with deliveries of this particular model sold out for the rest of the year. Piper is seeing good demand for the aircraft so much that it has had to limit production to around 35 aircraft of the type per year so they do not get too swamped and lapse on their delivery schedule.
