  1. Piaggio Secures North American Order At NBAA
Piaggio Aerospace is delighted to announce that it secured an order for Avanti EVO pusher prop executive aircraft. The announcement came on the last day of this year's NBAA show on November 3rd. The order is for five P180 Avanti EVO aircraft with options for four more of the type. The order was made from North American charter operator West Coast Aviation Services.
  2. The order is a big deal for Piaggio as they have been struggling to secure sales of the pusher-prop aircraft in recent years. One of the problems for Piaggio is that arguably its largest customer -Avantair- collapsed. This company operated 50 Avantis up to the time of its collapse and had orders from nearly as many more. For now though, Piaggio can look forward to delivering these new planes to West Coast Aviation Services. The first one was actually on display at the NBAA and expected to have been delivered to them once the show ended. The other four will be handed over by the fourth quarter of 2017. Michael D. Hissam, Piaggio America’s president and CEO said: “We are proud that West Coast Aviation Services has selected the Avanti EVO as an addition to their existing fleet of aircraft. We look forward to partnering with WCAS to help the US Avanti EVO fleet growth.”
