Embraer Hits Record Backlog For Q215 Embraer, the Brazilian airframer should be pretty happy today after announcing a record backlog for the last quarter. It's not just any good news, this is great news for the company as it represents the most made for a quarter in the company's entire history. For the first quarter of 2015, Embraer says they had a total backlog of around 20.4 billion USD. Compare this to the second quarter and it was a marginal increase netting some 22.9 billion USD.
During 2Q15, the Company delivered 27 jets to the commercial aviation market and 33 jets to the business aviation market, for a total of 60 aircraft - compared to 58 aircraft delivered the same period last year. Continuing along this trend Embraer is on track to do pretty well this year. The Phenom line of their Executive Jet market continues to be quite popular marking a high percentage of their deliveries while newcomers like the Legacy 450 will come into their own as rapid deliveries pick up later in the year.
