First FlexJet Legacy 450 Delivered By Embraer Brazilian airframer Embraer has delivered the first Legacy 450 to fractional ownership company FlexJet. On August 15th, Flexjet took delivery of the new jet which marked the third Embraer executive type for the company. The marginally larger Legacy 500 is one of the other types that FlexJet has in operation having taken delivery of the first example in September of 2015 and now has four of them flying. By year-end FlexJet expects to have five Legacy 450s in operation. The other Embraer type in the FlexJet fleet is the Phenom 300.
“The Legacy 450 will become the mainstay of our midsize program, which has been growing rapidly in response to increased demand for aircraft of this size,” said Flexjet CEO Michael Silvestro. “Not only does the Legacy 450 offer the capabilities and performance of larger aircraft, but fractional owners can access it at an investment level more commonly associated with much smaller aircraft.” For more information: Embraer Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A.
