  1. Textron Aviation Ends Cessna Citation Mustang Production
The last Cessna Citation Mustang recently rolled off the production line and is anticipated to be delivered to her owner in the coming weeks. This marks the end of a twelve year run in production for this particular model from Cessna. This model has been pretty successful for Cessna having upwards of 470 examples manufactured. With the Citation M2 in production which can be seen as an upgraded variant to the Mustang it makes sense to cut production and allow the M2 to become Cessna's entry-level light jet.
  2. The M2 has delivered nearly 150 examples since entering service in 2013. Even though the Mustang has ended production there will still be solid service support for this aircraft type so owners and operators have nothing to worry about as far as that is concerned. For the last couple of years, the Mustang has been enduring low rates of production and makes better economic sense to cut production and supply chain.
