NBAA annual convention rebranded to BACE The National Business Aviation Association has rebranded itself and will now be known as the BACE (Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition). You can easily tell that this is an effort to align this event with the names of other events around the world like the EBACE, LABACE, ABACE. What are your thoughts?
They are just following what the other conventions are doing since they may 'seem' to be the odd man out.
Not sure of this. It seems that they are changing from an association to an event, by name. Also, maybe call it the USBACE, as the others designate events in other countries.
Whether the name changes or not, the event will continue. You can take a look back at it with the wonderful work of CaptTom shooting some Bombardier aircraft on the static display last year. http://www.jetforums.net/aviation-events-airshows/600-bombardier-flexjet-2012-nbaa-jets-night.html
Oct 22, 2013 - Oct 24, 2013 Cessna will once again have a first class, interactive display at BACE 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. BACE, the largest civil aviation tradeshow in the world, provides a perfect opportunity to showcase our various Citation Service Centers within our indoor exhibit and the newest additions to our product line, the M2, Sovereign, CX, CJ4 and Caravan EX at the outdoor static display.
In addition to an outdoor static display of aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport, NBAA 2013 will also offer, for the first time at an NBAA convention, an indoor static display of aircraft, on the main exhibit floor. The event will be held on 22-24 October 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Linda Peters, NBAA’s vice president, exhibits, said the new display would include 10-15 light business aircraft and helicopters, just steps away from the show’s other indoor exhibits. “We’ve reconfigured the main exhibit hall layout to allow expanded room for a variety of light aircraft to be displayed inside,” said Peters. “Attendees will appreciate the convenient location inside the hall, and the unprecedented access and higher level of integration with the indoor exhibits this display will feature.” While the indoor display will feature lighter aircraft, including piston singles, light turboprops and helicopters, the outdoor display will showcase about 100 business aircraft, ranging from smaller types up through intercontinental business jets.
