  1. GE Purchases HondaJet Business Aircraft From HondaJet
HondaJet has started the 2014 NBAA well with the announcement of new orders for their HondaJet business aircraft. The client is GE and this may not be a huge surprise to many as the small jet is powered by twin GE Honda Aero HF120 engines. Word from GE's VP of Business and General Aviation Brad Mottier is that GE is going to purchase at least two HondaJets from the company.

The announcement was formally made on Tuesday at the NBAA even though news was circulating since Monday about the impending purchase by GE. GE has been working on engine development for several years and has invested some $3.5 billion into aviation engine manufacture alone. "We decided to see how we could make our supply chain work more smoothly, " Mottier said. It was then a natural progression to have an GE/Honda-powered light business jet.
