  1. Dassault Falcon Prepares to Roll-Out First Falcon 5X
French manufacturer Dassault Falcon is preparing to roll-out the first Falcon 5X testbed from the indoor build shed. The roll-out is still just over a month away, slated for June 2nd, 2015 but the new models of the Falcon line for Dassault are steaming ahead. The 5X program is going according to plan and schedule and after the roll-out the first flight is planned for the second half of 2015. While it won't be the fastest business jet in the world, they 5X will certainly be able to fly you to your destination quickly. With an anticipated top speed of Mach 0.90 that is enough sprint for most people.
  2. She also features a brand new powerplant provided by Snecma and a range of around 5,200 nautical miles pitting it squarely with the Bombardier Global 5000. With a MTOW of just under 70,000 lbs and expected great runway performance the Falcon 5X will be a great aircraft. Couple that with the next generation of EASy cockpit for the pilots, this 45-million dollar fly-by-wire business jet will be a winner for Dassault Falcon. Also remember they have the tri-engine 8X fully in the testing phases with 2 aircraft already in the air flying. As for the 5X, Certification is anticipated for 2016 and deliveries in 2017.
