Man Sells Vintage Cessna 140 at Garage Sale

The guy had placed an advert in the local newspaper to draw attention to the event (the garage sale) listing "tools, household items and a Cessna 140 airplane," among the products for sale.To his surprise, his phone began ringing off the hook with offers to buy the airplane, which he originally purchased for $5,500 in 1978, when aviation gas was going for $0.76 a gallon at the time.

The $734,000 TTx was certificated in July, and is the first aircraft to be equipped with Garmin G2000 avionics. The cockpit features two 14in high definition displays and touchscreen controls.
