Interesting Aircraft Registration Numbers

In the main, aircraft registrations can be pretty bland and boring but there are many out there that do offer a sense of hilarity, fun and satisfaction. Some registrations say alot about the owner or the company owning/operating the aircraft. Here are a few and if YOU know any, feel free to add to the list.

N96UA

This is worn by a Gulfstream G550 operating for the Under Armour brand. N (U.S registration) 96 (when the brand was established) UA (initials of the brand).

G-SUGA

This registration is on an Embraer Legacy 650 that flies for British business man Lord Alan Sugar. The registration is fairly straightforward G (British registration) SUGA (representation of the owner's surname)

G-LCDH

This registration is on the tail of a Bombardier Challenger 605 and the livery on the aircraft is easily recognizable to the pairing of its frequent flyer occupant. Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton utilizes this midsize jet and has his full initials on the back-end of the British registration, G-LCDH.

N612FG has been said to be owned by Shahid Khan, if you do not know who he is, Google is your friend! It is a Bombardier Global 6000.

Saw this one come in over the weekend with registration N6D, a Gulfstream G650ER said to be Dell Technologies Corporate jet. I believe they previously operated a Global Express with the same registration. Photo below is by Eric Dennison

This aircraft is said to be used by Taylor Swift. It is a Dassault Falcon 900 registered N898TS. The registration has personal meaning to the operator. Swift’s favourite number is 13 and you can see this marked near the door of the aircraft. Of course her initials and part of her birth year (1989, which is also the title of her award-winning album) make up the registration. It also has another 8, which represented the number of chart-topping singles Swift had at the time.

This Piaggio Avanti P180 is registered D-INKY.

This Dornier Seastar has the registration D-ICKS. It is one of only two built.

D-AUTO...this one is BMW's corporate Gulfstream G550.

M-NSTR (Monster) is on this Global 7500.

OH-GOD is on this Pilatus PC-12.
