  1. Cirrus Aircraft Attains U.S Production Certificate For Vision Jet
Duluth, Minnesota based airframer Cirrus Aircraft has gained U.S Production Certificate for their flagship SF50 Vision Jet. The certificate basically allows the company to be able to produce, test-fly and provide airworthiness certificates for each jet of the type that rolls off the assembly line. If you remember, the SF50 Vision Jet gained FAA certification back in October 2016 and since then delivered the first aircraft to a customer. A total of five jets have been delivered to customers to date.
  2. The six passenger single engine jet has an order backlog in the region of 600 and the company plans on delivering as many as 50 examples this year. At this point there are just under 30 Vision Jets that are in various stages of construction and manufacture between Cirrus' plants in the U.S. The 2-million dollar light jet is expected to ramp-up -in terms of factory output- to 1 aircraft a week by third quarter and this new certificate helps facilitate the process.
